There is a time when even knitting is not enough - Cecily has had a crappy week - working way too much, too much stress, and not even the knitting has been able to help. I finished the multicolored dishcloth on Sunday, when Diana and I went to Einstein Bros. Bagels for breakfast. (Not the one she works at - that would have been too much on her day off). But - we missed both Violet and Drusilla at the Tuesday night Starbucks knit. (Which went really well, BTW) We plan on another a week from Tuesday. The manager of the Starbucks was really friendly, and even gave us a pot of French pressed house blend for free! He said that he will do that whenever we meet there! We just missed you both because we like spending time with you. :( SAd when you're not around.

Thank Goodness For Knittinghelp.com
hello friends and neighbors. I knitted two rows. first purling, then knitting. why is it called Knitting, can i ask? why is it not called Knitting and Purling? anyway, i tried to start by myself and forgot what i was suppposed to be doing so luckily knittinghelp.com saved the day! watching that video up close really helped. i've made a few mistakes but i still think once it's a hat it will all blend in. and if it looks bad, maybe i'll mount it on my wall and call it ART.

Hello Violet and Cecily and all our fans!
Last night was a very successful night if i do say so myself. we all knitted like mad and made some progress. i'm actually off of the needles now, meaning my project doesn't just look like yarn wrapped around a needle, something is starting to hang there. it sure feel exciting being in a room full of cool chics who are all knitting coolio things! and cecily, i do think this is Creative. I mean even if we are "just following a pattern," everyone knits in their own way and has their own style and no two hats will look the same. ! and even the kind of yarn you choose is creative and the thing you decide to make. so like it or not, you are one creative lady.
here's the deal for today: i just got home from running and brunch, now i'm going to do a little hookrugging, then some studying for my GRE and then i'll get onto the real stuff--KNITTING!
later crafty gals,

Hey girlies. This is so exciting - it's my first blog ever! I could just, ya know, talk to you since you're here in my house, but I need to post to the blog! I think we're all making very good progress tonight, even "drucilla whatever-her-name is:-)" who gets a little frustrated, but is doing very well!! Thankfully Ciscilly is here to help with all of our problems! Let's see, my name can be Violet, just Violet. I like to keep things simple. I'm so thankful for my crafty librarian friends!!! The end.

hello! It's druscilla penny here. i always wanted to be called that. !! i would like to report that i actually got so i was enjoying the rhythm of the knitting tuesday night. but then when i got home from the library that night, i tried to pick up where i left off and i screwed it all up immediately. so i guess i still need more supervision. so i'm back to hooking my rug again. i would say i'm 45% done, i might get to 60% done depending on how bad my insomnia is tonight
have i told you lately how cute my cats are?
oh this really cool lady came into the library tonight, she had thought knitting was tonight. Anyway, she's very excited that we're meeting at starbucks to knit tuesday nights! i forgot her name though. i talked to dale and she really thinks we should just have everyone pay $5 to knit at the library once a month. what do you think about that? ($5 each would pay the cost of the meeting room). we could at least maybe do it once a month and starbucks the other times? too bad saradora was driven out of town !
right now i'm doing laundry which has nothing to do with crafts except that it is Clothing made by sewing.
okay, so my goal is to keep learning how to knit and finish my hat by the end of august. is that do-able ladies?
see you in the morning lovely ladies!
XOXOXO
SARAH (druscilla penny)
